Where Has All Of The Money Gone Since 911?

N.Y. Times wrote a nice article showing how much money we have spent fighting terror. Since 911 America has spent $3.3 Trillion to fight terror vs. the assumed $500,000.00 Al Qaeda spent setting up the attack on the World Trade Towers. A very nice set of graphs show how the money was spent. America was bent over a barrel and were told we have to respond and create new security measures. Our financial response to Al Qaeda was a $7,000,000.00 million to $1.00 for every dollar Al Qaeda spent on the 911 attacks, the US government responded with $ 7 million dollars.

As an example, The TSA has failed to catch one terrorist, frequently fails to catch guns in luggage, is groping children like pedophiles and is costing US tax payers $9 Billion a year. The creator of the TSA, Rep. John Mica (R). -Fla.), Chairman of the House Transportation Committee says "everything they have done has been reactive." The agency has been engulfed in fraud and scandal starting in 2002 and  and the agency should be down sized and privatized. "The whole program has been hijacked by bureaucrats," said Mica. Charges of hundreds of thousands of dollars were made from cash withdrawals, valet parking and one executive was paid $5.4 million for nine months of work. "The whole thing is a fiasco," "We are one of the only countries still using this model of security, other than Bulgaria, Romania, Poland and I think, Libya," said Mica.

As Admiral Dennis C. Blair, who served briefly as Mr. Obama's director of national intelligence, commented when asked about how the costs rose out of control... "We're American, If it's worth doing, it's worth over doing." A government that doesn't ask questions and responds emotionally, will, as we have seen with the TSA, Homeland Security and the erosion of our 4th amendment rights, trample everything in it's path regardless of consequences, only to benefit of those in power.  Admiral Blair then asked this question: "What justifies this level of spending?" Politicians, As Rahm Emanuel clearly stated "You never want a serious crisis to go to waste."
They will cheat and lie or blatantly distort information to achieve their goals as they did in their reasoning to attack Iraq and the cost of that war. As we let our Government expand it's powers in the name of "Security," we are giving away our freedoms. Our Government's response is that it is justified in throwing away, your children's and grandchildren's future on debt that can never be repaid.

As the War on Terror, The War on Drugs, The War on Poverty have conclusively proven that  Governments actions continually fail with incredibly miserable results that are terrificly costly.  And the kicker is they expect you to pay for their failure over and over again! Time to stop watching American Idol and Dancing With The Stars.

Wake up America, before it is too late.
